Nowadays, education is a hot topic among people. Different intepretations of education can be heard everywhere. Some people think it's the means to get a good job; some may consider it as a new industry. In my opinion, education is and has always been a pure thing. We should regard it as a life-long process.
First, education gives us the chance to get rid of illiteracy. Through education we learn all kinds of knowledge as well as morals. We gradually develop ourselves by accumulating knowledge and experience. And these can primarily attained through the process of education. As the self-progress and development never stop during our whole life, we're always benefiting from education which is also a life-long process.
Second, education let us discover our interest and potential. Everyone has his own talent. But not everyone discovers it. Many people lost the chance to fully amplify his ability because of lacking the chance to receive good education. Many outstanding musicians or inventors or writers are not born to be one. They are born to have such talents. But through education they discovered their true interest and make clear the direction of going forward. This may need a long time to accomplish. During this time, education is the best tool to give us inspiration and self-recognition. Therefore, education is really a life-long process.
However, it is true that education becomes an access to good job and good earning in some conditions today. But it violates the original aim and meaning of education. It's a near-sighted point of view and can't receive good effect in the long run. By and large, education is a life-long process and the value of it can only be realized by the correct understanding towards it.
