Some people limit education to the idea of going to school or a way of securing good jobs. In my opinion education is not confined to a certain period of time, but is carried out throughout one's whole life either by a school or a teacher or oneself and this lifelong process of education is very important to a modern adult person.
Education is a lifelong process, process, though going to school is only part of it and securing good jobs is only one purpose of it. At the moment when we were born, education begins, sometimes the education starts when we have not come to this world yet. Before going to school we are mainly taught and educated by the parents. After we graduate from universities, it does not mean the education shall stop. There are several reasons that require us to continue receiving education.
What we learn at school will be probably out of date after we graduate. So we need to learn the newly developed knowledge by ourselves otherwise we will find it difficult to meet the requirement of the work. In this fast changing world a new technology or thing or an idea appear on after the other. In order to follow the pace of the time, we need to learn while we work. Beside knowledge applied to the work there are a lot more things we need to learn, for example how to cooperate with others in a group project, how to deal with the relatshipment with your boss and your colleagues. Outside work, there are still many things that are important to learn in life, for example how to face the difficulty in life, how to arrange the time between that spent in work and that in family. How to educate your child and so on. The need to learn all these things will not be realized by oneself until one faces them.
There is an old saying in China "It is never too old to learn.". What we need to learn will always appear after we finish one phase. Education is a lifelong process and everyone should stick to the spirit of the old Chinese saying C never stop learning.
