Education is not simly as going to schools or colleges and graduate in one's mid-20's with a bachelor or master degree. After that, he still needs some kinds of education. To a modern adult, education is a lifelong process.
Most of the modern universities today are divided into different schools and departments, therefore we students are specified into different majors. Although in university, we have some elective courses, still we won't be very familiar in the fields beyond our majors. Today, many jobs require skills and knowledge combined by several disciplines, so it raises the necessity for us to receive education constantly to learn the knowledge we've not learned even after we finished college lives. 
Nowadays the renewal of knowledge is extremely rapid. It's referred to as the "knowledge explosion." It's estimated that half of the knowledge of an undergraduate leaving school just now would be out of the date after 3 years. Thus, it imposes much more pressure on us to receive education after graduation and in our whole life Cto renew our knowledge, keep up with the latest imformation, and not be kicked out in the fierce competition.
What's more, we could not view education only as teaching academic knowledge. We learn from others, from our practice, the ability to communicate, to coordinate with others, and definately these are all kinds of education of education. That is to say, we need education as a lifelong process, because we want to learn how to be a good individual with good virtue, and know to get along with others. 
Therefore, we need education in our whole lifetime, because we want, and have to keep learning life long. To some extent, it's the result of the development of the human civilization, and will definitely push it forward. So, let's roll, and be happy to learn!
