Many people see education simply as going to schools or colleges and it ends when a person was got his or her bachelor or master degree. However, in modern society, where the condition is changing everyday, what one has got from his college studies certainly can't meet the society's needs. Education should be a lifelong process to a modern adult person.
Several years ago, an accountant only used abacus in his work and he was a qualified accountant as long as he can manage the abacus. Maybe at that time, he would be laid off because he can't use computer to do the accountings. True, the society is changing so rapidly that an adult person can easily be lag behind if he doesn't continue his education after he enters the society and begins his job.
Fortunately, a lot of people have realized that "it's never to old to learn" is not only an old saying, a proverb but also a belief that they should carry out in their deeds. That more and more colleges and special skill instituations for mid-ages and old people are founded shows that the society has realized the importance of "lifelong education" and they also provides those who are not qualified for the modern society a chance to catch up with other people.
As a person grows up, he will meet more and more problems that he can't solve by his own. In that situation, he may need new education to help him overcome those difficulties. For example, a college graduate can't communicate well with others when he first enters the society, then he needs more knowledge of human relationship. And he should receive new education. Not technical, but emotional, maybe.
Education helps a person know things, solve problems. In a person's life, new things, merges, then education should be lifelong.
