My father usually brought me to bookstores when I was a child. At that time, I preferred toys stores but my father insisted going to bookstores. "You are so young that you have to learn. I am learning with you because education is a lifelong process. We need to learn." he said.
I understand my father's words now. I've met some people who made me feel the great difference between educated people and uneducated people. Meanwhile, I see many people keep on learning although they have a comfortable life. Education is not an easy thing. Then why people are willing to have a lifelong education?
In my opinion, there are several reasons. Firstly, education can broaden our horizons. We can know history, science, art, etc from education. As a result, we can understand the world from different perspectives. Secondly, we can go with times by non-stop learning. The world is developing so fast that we need to learn, otherwise we will be deserted by times. We can also get more opportunities when we know something up-date. Maybe that's why some people consider education as a means to secune jobs. Thirdly, education can make us enjoy ourselves. We are full of satisfaction when me master something new and me can get a sense of success from education. We may meet many difficulties through the process of education and we will suffer a lot, but as soon as we come over them, our hearts will be filled with joy.
One's life is limited, but the knowledge isn't. we can't learn all the knowledge in our lifttime but we can have our lifetime full of knowledge. Education is a method to get knowledge and has lots of positive effects on us. So why don't we make education a lifelong process?
