Many people nowadays have a very old mind in their heads. That is, education just means learning in schools and colleges then as a tool, help them to find good jobs. They are totally wrong, in my opinion. Education is a lifelong process, even a fool should keep this in mind, because he wants to survive in the developing society.
In fact, we are learning unconoiously before we go to school we are receiving education. This period of education may be the most important one in our life. Our characters and personalities form in this period. To some degree, it means what you'll be like in the future.
When we are at school, we learn mostly from the text books. But they are not the only thing. We also learn how to communite with others and other interesting things. Our interests form in this period. It means what you'd likely to do in future.
Then, after the short school life we have to live with our jobs for the rest of our lives. You still keep the old mind in your head? Maybe at first you'll find you're "right". You did get a good job though your high marks gainned in school. Another lesson taught by society would come if you think your education is ending. You'll be fired shortly after you worked for you refused to learn more new things. Things we learned in school is old now, they are out of date. Then you have to face education again. You can never get rid of it. This education means the "life" of your job, how long you can keep it.
So now, what's education? You know it yourself.
