As a modern person in this society, I think education is very important in our life. It's a lifelong process.
We get education everytime everywhere in our lives. Some people simply see education as going to schools or colleges. They are wrong. Education in schools is just the small part of the whole education we will get, and the large part is from our daily life and working experences. I think the large part is more important to modern people, because it is more pratical and useful to create value. In China, old people often tell their offsprings that they should keep learning even if they become old. Learning from schools is mostly about theories, while learning from life is the real useful thing. Therefore, during our lifes, we should keep learning.
The goal of education is to realize the self-value. Some people think that education is just a means to secure a good job. They cannot see the real essence of education. If a person get a good job because of his good education, then he stop learning new knowledge, he will use up his old knowledge and be taken placed by those people with new knowledge. In our society full of competition, if a person want to realize his value, he must look at education as lifelong process.
Not only from the realitics, but also from our own pursuit, education is a lifelong process for a modern person.
