At present, there is much discussion on whether education is a lifelong process. Some people simply think education help them to go to colleges and secure good jobs. However, in my opinion, education as a lifelong process is important to a modern person.
In the first place, education gives people opportunities to learn about the world. Students get various kinds of knowledge both on books and in reality, so their lives become colorful. In the old days, people didn't have chances to go to school, they felt their lives were boring without education. One of my old neighbours didn't receive education due to poverty when he was young, but now he goes to old-people college to study. Therefore education makes people's lives rich.
In the second place, education is also important to a person who has a good job. Education doesn't simply indicate going to school. People can receive education outside school. Graduating from colleges doesn't mean the stop of education, actually people can not be satisfied with a good job. Keen competition at work force people to continue studying. My aunt is unemployed now because she didn't pay much attention on education. She couldn't compete with the young generation in her firm. People need to be educated throughout the whole life.
Last, but not the least, well-educated people may communicate freely with others. Nowadays, people who neglect education have difficulties in exchanging ideas. They know little about the society and only have superficial concept of modern world. Those people fell isolated. As a result, educated people easily make friends.
In a world, education balance the spiritual and material life of people. Education is people's lifelong pursuit.
