Education is very important in people's life, the whole life. With lifelong education, we can get better individual development, raise a society with healthy competitive environment, and build a high-quality nation.
First, lifelong will provide us knowledge continuously so that we can always keep our minds fresh and take priority in competition. My grandpa is 76-year old and is learning new accounting policies now. He is a very famous accountant who has been working for many enterprises after retirement. However now, accounting policies are changing, and he must learn more to keep up with time. He told me, "Life is really long, and we should learn all the time. No one can be an outhority all along." From him, I see the power of lifelong education to people's individual development.
Second, taking education as a lifelong process will do good to social environment in which learning becomes our selfconciousness not purely a tool to get good jobs or earn more money. We need lead acceptance of education to a healthy direction not bad competition, which often happens in colleges and our society.
Last but not least, lifelong education will help to improve the quality of our nation. Some people simply see education as going to schools or colleges, but I don't agree. If the social group, if most people keep old knowledge in the whole life, how could the nation go ahead quickly? Recently, our government has cancelled the age limitation for the entrance to college and encourage more people to accept higher education. I think that's also a decision based on the idea to have lifelong education.
To learn more is to do more for the world. Therefore, in our long long life, let's take education with us all along to live more meaningfully to the society.
