Some people simply see education as going to schools or colleges, and their goal is just to seek good jobs or obtain something else they are dreaming of. However, in my mind, education is actually a lifelong process.
First and foremost, with the fast development of the society, education also develops, which requires people to keep on studying. Take Internet as an example. A CS major graduated from college 10 years ago may have no idea of the basic skills of Internet if he/she has not kept on studying. Consequently, the idea of getting a good job after receiving college education then relaxing for the rest of his/her life is impossible and ridiculous, and one should keep on studying the whole life. Second, education means not only studying knowledge from textbook, but also practicing and experiencing. Knowledge is only a part of education, and social experience is also of great importance. If one only views education as going to school or colleges, he/she will find it difficult to deal with practical problems even he/she has got a good job. The society is a large classroom, and people should keep on studying all the time. Last but not the least, the lifelong process for education is a kind of self-fulfillment, which leaves people much enjoyment. My grandfather started learning English when he was 70, but the process of studying gives him great enjoyment. He finally got the chance to go to American and spoke English himself, and I know he was happy. Consequently, one should stop studying until life decreases, and the lifelong education process means self-fulfillment for these persevering people.
In a word, education is a lifelong process, which gives people chances to keep up with the development of the society and rewards them with self-fulfillment.
