A famous quote goes like this, "While I'm growing old, I'm learning." I agree with it very much that education is a lifelong process.
On and out of the planet we are living on, there is a largest amount of knowledge to learn, maths, physics, biology, chemistry, as well as language, history, geography, and culture. The time of a whole life is not enough to obtain even the smallest part of each subject. We have to devote all the time we have to revealing everything about the things existing around us, and to discovering the mysteries of ourselves.
We should learn not only the knowledge, but also the rules of behavior. Even if one has acquired enough knowledge to support himself in his future life, there is still much to learn. For example, can we say a professor is a successful learner if he is seen to litter in public? The knowledge we have learned should be used as a guide in our everyday life. Thinking is for doing. Our society has been developing, because of the acts, the deeds of the entire human race, so we must also learn how to love, hate, what to contribute, and, in all, how to be a quarlified human being. We ought to do what we should do in the proper way.
Education has two aspects, learn and teach. As a result, it is not enough if we have learned a lot and can act properly. We have to teach other people to do the same. We may talk with people around us, telling them what we think is right; we may also keep quiet, but set ourselves as an example to them. "A good parent" is a higher praise than "a successful career person," because this people doesn't only affect the present situation, but also help the next generation to move forward by making sure that his children can offer more to the progress of the society in the future. Thus, education, like being a parent, takes a life's time.
We learn to fullfill ourselves, and we learn to teach others. Education, which can promise a better future for all of us, is a lifelong process.
