Present medium broadcast all kinds of advertisements of language training, computer training, etc. That indicates more and more people are eager to study after class or work. Education has been perceived as a life-long process.
Usually education is carried out in schools. Students regard education as a way leading to a job. In order to get a good job, they must get a good education first. That's partly reasonable. But that's not all. Just have another think. After getting a job, how can you keep a job? Our time is characterized as an "information exploration" time. What we have learnt in schools will become out-of-date in five to ten years. We should keep on learning if we wish to keep up with pace of the time.
Learning is one thing, and what to learn is another. We learn scientific and social knowledge at school and working or life experience from society and people around us. So education cannot be limited to school. Besides, what does education include? Only knowledge and experience? Education actually is considered a complicated process which covers most aspects of a human life. The essence of it should be spirit education, that is to teach youths to behave honestly, legally and morally correct. It may can't be taught by teachers in class, but it is worthy of spending a whole life learning and perfecting. So in this mean, education, as a broad definition, cannot be a short-term process. It has to be a life long one.
When you stare at piles of books, you'll know there is much to learn. And moreover when you walk in a crowd, you'll have a strong feeling that there is ever more to learn and that is more important than simply computer or foreign language. Therefore we can find that there is something in the old saying "it's never too late to learn." We'd better keep it in mind that education, or learning seen from one's own perception, lasts a life time.
