To a certain degree, all of us are students no matter how old we are, because most of us have the desire for new knowledge in order to keep up with the world, and hope to keep a sharp brain when we get old. In this sense, education is a life-long process.
As the development of science and technology, great changes are taking place in the world everyday. If we don't regard education as a life-long process, we'll fall behind. Take my aunt for example. She was already a doctor in a famous hospital 20 years ago. But she wasn't satisfied with the stable job. During the 20 years, she learned English and computer and passed various tests. In this case, she could read foreign materials and communicate with the world through the computer. Thanks to the help of the new knowledge, my aunt is now an experienced doctor admired by the fellow doctors and loved by the patients. It is the new knowledge that broadens one's horizon and offers great help in one's career.
In our life, we receive various educations. If we continue to educate ourselves all our life, we'll find learning not only needs painstaking effort, but also is full of fun. Education reminds us of useful experience, special trainings as well as all kinds books. We can get new knowledge at school. But we can also get knowledge in evening classes, lectures, and even through radio, TV, or computer. Education is not limited in schools. It's so deeply rooted in the everyday life that no one can get rid of education as long as he is a social member. Thanks to education, consciously or unconsciously, we improve ourselves day by day. And the society develops quickly.
Education is not the previlage of young people. It's essential for people of all ages. Working people are attenting various training classes in order to meet the needs of the new job requirement. Lay-off people are busy with the special training for a new job. Even old grannies are devoting themselves in English learning to support the Olympic Bid. We believe youth is a state of mind, so education, which helps us to keep up with the pace of the modern society and brings us new knowledge is so necessary that old or young, we all regard education as a life-long business. We believe education brings prosperity and development to the nation, so education is not a private business, but benefits the whole country.
