However, many people still take all advertisements at face value, causing them to purchase products or engage in activities that are not beneficial to them.
I feel that the media and the advertising community have a social responsibility to ensure that all of their advertisements are true and accurate. When this happens, the credibility and effectiveness of all advertisements will increase, thus benefiting not only the consumer, but also the advertising companies. Until then, society will be forced to question all advertisements for legitimacy.
