"Haste makes waste" is a popular phrase in the English language. The phrase is used in situations where someone is completing his or her work too quickly without much concern for the quality of the work. If a job is hurriedly finished; it will definitely be lacking the quality that a slowly and properly prepared job would have. In most situations, the job must be redone creating a waste of time and energy for the person who first completed the project and the one who must redo it.
Almost every situation in life requires at least some time and consideration. The most important of these situations would be that involving a student with a long-term assignment. A teacher can always see the difference in an assignment completed a little each day and an assignment that was rushed and completed the night before it was due. Unacceptable, rushed assignments either must be redone or receive a bad grade. In either case, the project has been a waste for the hasty student.
