When I was a university student and working in a hospital, many people said, "You would be a good doctor, as you are already good with patients."
"No, no," I would reply. "I like working with people and patients, but I have no math or science background or ability."
"Then what?" I would be asked.
"That's easy, I'll be a teacher," I responded.
"So, that's your ideal job?"
"Yes, why not?" I would say. "I like young people, and seem to have a gift for teaching."
"But you might be a famous lawyer or business man."
"They need good teachers too and I can be a good teacher for them," might be my final answer.
"Well, then, how do you become a good teacher? What are the most important ingredients?
"I think that I need to have a firm knowledge of my subject matter, I need to teach young people new ideas, I need to open myself to new ideas, I need a good sense of humor, and last, I think that I need lots of experience. Then teaching would be my ideal job."
